For once, I'm happy to see expensive corporate lawyers forcing a fan project offline
I don't typically have much love for billion-dollar corporations dropping the 'meet our legal department' hammer on no-budget modders who are just trying to exercise their creative muscles, but in this one instance I'm willing to let it slide: Bethesda has iss…

Bethesda says that Obsidian's 'creative identity' will be preserved, just months after multiple projects were cancelled and it was told to make a Fallout game
Listen, you can say what you want about Avowed—I wouldn't even blame you if you didn't like it, or much of what has come out of Obsidian's recent catalogue. There's even a tiny, selfish scrap of my gamer heart that's secretly very glad that Obsidian is working…

Fallout dev Tim Cain says the games industry's volatility is 'always gonna be around': 'What's happening now isn't novel, it isn't new'
I don't know if you've noticed, but the games industry kind of sucks . Despite (and because of) the absurd amount of money games rake in, there's an ungodly degree of consolidation , the RAMpocalypse , and constant, huge waves of layoffs . Tim Cain, who co-cre…
